A new Substack from me 😇

Sim City - a nod to my first computer obsession and to the the way I check on people through social like they are all little Sims. If you don’t also do that I think you’re lying to yourself a little. The Substack is about, well yeah, the internet and social media, but also the cultural anthropology of the digi world and it’s many weird corners. For all the chat we see about homogenisation of culture, flattening of niches to create a blancmange of thoughts and opinions, I still think the way each individual person logs on both fascinating and multi-faceted.

I’m obsessed with the simulacra of the internet, and I really enjoy spinning a yarn, and if you too find pleasure in those things I think you might like this Substack. It will comprise of essays, musings, and news updates, and whatever else comes my way.
